Diaphragm Pumps DN12, DN15 and DNS1-15
A technical comparison page to help you choose clearly between the historic DN12 pump, the DN15 that replaced it with higher capacity and immediate installation, and the new DNS1-15 / DN1S, a more modern and economical solution in daily use.
Quick choice
If you want to replace the old DN12 without modifying your plant, DN15 is the simplest solution. If you are willing to adapt the mounting holes in order to get a more modern pump with lower air consumption, DNS1-15 is the smartest choice.

Fast technical data for DN12 and DN15
The DN12 sheet shows an adjustable flow rate of 0÷28 l/min, air pressure 1÷6.8 bar, 1/4″ Gas air inlet, 1/2″ Gas thread fluid ports (4+4 holes) and a weight of 5.6 kg.
The DN15 sheet shows an adjustable flow rate of 0÷52 l/min, air pressure 1÷6.8 bar, 1/4″ Gas air inlet, 1/2″ Gas thread fluid ports (4+4 holes) and a weight of 4.5 kg.
In practice, DN15 delivers more flow, weighs less and keeps the same simple installation philosophy as DN12.
Why DN15 is the easiest replacement
DN15 is designed as the evolution of DN12: it has higher flow, requires less effort to deliver the same amount of material and fits the same fixing holes, with no support modifications needed.
Why choose DNS1-15 / DN1S
The new DNS1-15 / DN1S is the most modern choice when you want to reduce operating costs. The internal system is as robust as DN15, but the outer body can be aluminium or technical plastic, depending on the requirement.
Its main advantage is savings: it uses about 25% less air than DN15.
The point to consider is installation: compared with the old DN12, the fixing holes are different, so the mechanic must adapt the supports.
New DNs PTFE 1 series
The new generation places advanced technical solutions at the centre, such as anti-stall valves, smart integration with PLC / data acquisition system and modular air exhaust management.
Which pump to choose
DN15 if you want to replace DN12 quickly, without changing the system.
DNS1-15 / DN1S if you want a more modern and economical solution in daily use, accepting the adaptation of the holes.
DN12 as the historic reference for older plants or existing spare parts.
In short
If you want a fast replacement without modifications, DN15 is the most practical choice. If you want lower air consumption and can adapt the mounting, DNS1-15 is the most convenient solution.
