Use, storage and safety
Transport and opening
- Handle crates with great care.
- Store blades in the original packaging, in a dry place.
- Open the lid fully without using tools or nails in the crate.
Handling and mounting
- Always wear cut-resistant gloves.
- Do not lift the blade from the weld point.
- Remove all protective oil before mounting.
- Clean the machine, felts and wheel area before installing the blade.
Maintenance
- Move the wheels away and clean leather residue and metal dust.
- Protect the blade with anti-rust emulsion.
- Keep the wheels clean and dressed for regular sharpening.
WARNING: leather residue under the machine can ignite from wheel sparks.
