The main consumables for leather buffing
Buffing prepares and works the leather surface. Maintaining the desired finish means monitoring wear on the parts in contact with the material. Danese’s most requested supplies are CARM abrasives, rubber sleeves and working roller brushes.
CARM abrasives for conventional and belt machines
CARM abrasive paper is our main consumable for leather buffing. We supply abrasives for conventional and belt machines, including Aletti configurations. Format and grit are selected for the machine, leather and required effect. The dedicated CARM page presents the range and information for choosing the abrasive.
Rubber sleeves: replace the worn covering
The rubber sleeve also wears during processing. Supplying it as a sleeve allows the worn roller covering to be replaced. We offer different constructions, including GSG and ENP. Profile, dimensions and rubber characteristics must be matched to the existing part and the required operation.
Rubber-covered rollers and working roller parts
We can also assess the supply of rubber-covered rollers. Identification requires the buffing machine make and model, working width, diameters, mountings and photographs. Selection is based on the actual machine configuration.
Re-Brush®: replaceable brush modules
Working roller brushes are another important replacement part. The modular Re-Brush® system allows worn outer bristle modules to be replaced while reusing the central core. Adaptation is assessed against machine dimensions, shaft and application. The dedicated page shows the system and explains how it works.
Other parts: safety and pneumatics
We also supply safety components, pneumatic parts and cylinders, identified through codes, photographs and machine data. Replacement and checks of safety components must follow the manufacturer’s instructions and maintain protective functions.
Identify the right consumable
Send the machine make and model, dimensions and photographs. For abrasives, include format, current grit and desired finish; for sleeves and brushes, add diameters, length and mountings.
