Polishing starts with the contact material
In through-feed leather polishing machines, hides advance on a transport system and are worked by the operating roller. The contact material contributes to the finish and must suit the leather article, finishing products and machine conditions. Danese supplies cloths, felts and parts for this finishing operation.
White felt for pull-up leather
When cloth deteriorates or develops friction burns while processing pull-up leather, white felt is the option we suggest assessing. Compared with traditional military-green cloth, it provides greater resistance to friction and burning in the applications for which we select it. Its higher purchase price should be considered alongside performance in use and replacement frequency. Roller condition, speed, pressure and finishing products still need checking: greater resistance does not mean unlimited heat resistance.
Military-green cloth and preassembled rollers
We also supply traditional military-green cloth for suitable processes. For grooved wool-cloth rollers, preassembled supply with shaft and bearings can be assessed against the machine configuration and dimensions. Comparing the existing roller helps define the correct assembly.
Used Naxos stone rollers: check availability
We have a limited number of used Naxos stone rollers in excellent condition. Availability must be confirmed when enquiring, together with dimensions, mountings and the condition of the individual roller. Send details of the roller to be replaced so we can check suitability.
Feeding felts, hydraulic and electrical parts
We can supply feeding felts and assess hydraulic and electrical components needed to operate the machine. Please provide the make, model, part code and photographs: components are not universally interchangeable.
Tell us the finish you need
For cloths and rollers, specify diameter, working length, shaft and mountings. For burning or rapid wear, add the leather article, finishing products, speed and pressure information available. We assess the part together with actual operating conditions.
